The lowercase ‘f’ begins with a loop at the top, followed by a straight downward stroke that extends below the base line. It then curves to the right, resembling a poised and elegant dancer.

Raise your stroke to the upper line, then return to the left side, going below the lower line. After you are below the bottom line, raise your stroke to the right again and form a short tail that points to the right to join the other letters.

To write a lowercase cursive “f”, start below the centre dotted line.

  • Bring your stroke up to the top line, then loop back around the left side and below the bottom line.
  • Once you’re below the bottom line, move your stroke back up the right side and form a short tail off the letter to the right to link with the other letters.
