Lowercase Cursive S

The lowercase ‘s’ is a stylish swoop that starts at the base line, sweeps smoothly to the left, and then curls back around with finesse.

How to Write Lowercase Cursive S?

Similar to a capital cursive S, a lowercase cursive S is written in a smaller font. To write a lowercase cursive S, follow these steps:

  • Place your pencil at the bottom of each of the first two lines.
  • Draw a line that is diagonal and slightly curved that extends to the top of the two lines.
  • To move your pen back towards the bottom of the page, draw a small loop.
  • Take up your pen and create an extended line.

Practice writing a cursive S by tracing it on a worksheet or watching a video.
